How a league week works

Your commissioner chooses the league format and roster settings. Every tournament week follows the same basic flow.

  1. 1
    Build your roster

Choose golfers from the published tournament field before lineup lock.

  2. 2
    Set each round

Arrange starters and bench golfers before their round begins.

  3. 3
    Score and compete

Your active starters earn points toward pool standings, matchups, or both.

The Essentials

Rules at a glance

League settings may vary
League format

Unlimited teams can join a league. Commissioners can choose head-to-head with playoffs, pool scoring, or both before the season begins.

Configurable roster

Commissioners set the number of starters and bench golfers before the season begins.

Captain setting

Leagues can play with a starter captain for double points, or turn the captain slot off before the season begins.

Round lineups

The same roster stays locked for the event, but starter and bench order can be managed round by round before golfers tee off.

Lock fallback

If a roster is not submitted five minutes before the first Round 1 tee time, the app submits a random legal roster from the field.

Auto-swap

Bench priority replaces a starter who withdraws before teeing off, is disqualified, or misses the cut when an eligible bench golfer is available.

Detailed rules

Tap a rule to expand it
01League Setup
  • Leagues may have an unlimited number of teams.
  • The commissioner sets game modes, lineup size, captain usage, regular-season length, playoff-team count, starts-per-golfer limit, segment count, and each segment's tournament length.
  • Private leagues use an invite code; public league support can follow the same scoring format.
  • Scoring settings are fixed for the league and are not customized by individual managers.
02Tournament Rosters
  • Managers select the league's required number of golfers from the current tournament field.
  • The commissioner-set starter count scores for each round.
  • Only starters score lineup points for that round unless an auto-swap is triggered.
  • There are no salary caps and no player tiers.
03Field Availability
  • The lineup player pool appears only after the tournament field is published.
  • If a tournament field has not been set, lineup selection shows a field-not-set message.
  • Once the week is in progress, the lineup tab hides the available player pool and shows only the manager's selected team.
  • Other teams' submitted lineups remain hidden until roster lock.
04Submission & Locking
  • Managers may edit and resubmit their roster any number of times before roster lock.
  • Roster lock is five minutes before the first scheduled Round 1 tee time.
  • After roster lock, the selected golfers are locked for the tournament.
  • If the league uses captains, the selected captain can change until that golfer tees off in Round 1. The captain is then locked for the tournament.
05Round-By-Round Lineups
  • Managers can set starter and bench order separately for Rounds 1, 2, 3, and 4.
  • Starters and bench order can still be changed during a round between golfers who have not teed off in that round.
  • A golfer who has teed off for the current round is locked for that round.
  • Round changes never add golfers outside the locked roster.
06Auto-Randomization
  • If a manager has not submitted a legal roster by roster lock, the app auto-submits a random legal roster.
  • The random roster is selected from the published field while respecting segment start limits.
  • The random roster follows the league's starter, bench, and captain settings.
  • Auto-randomized rosters are saved to Supabase so they work across devices.
07Auto-Swap Rules
  • Bench priority is Bench 1 first, then Bench 2.
  • A starter who withdraws before teeing off is immediately replaced by the first eligible bench golfer.
  • The bench replacement remains eligible even if that golfer has already started the round.
  • Disqualifications can trigger an immediate auto-swap.
  • Missed-cut golfers are treated as inactive for rounds after the cut.
  • If the captain is replaced, the captain designation does not transfer to the bench golfer.
08Starts Per Segment
  • The commissioner sets how many starts each golfer may be used per segment.
  • The commissioner also sets how many segments are in the season and how many tournaments each segment contains.
  • A golfer uses one start when he starts or is auto-swapped into a starter spot for that event.
  • Moving a golfer between starter and bench during the event does not create an extra start.
09Weekly Matchups
  • Each league week has head-to-head matchups like fantasy football.
  • Teams receive wins, losses, or ties based on weekly fantasy points.
  • Standings track wins, losses, ties, points for, points against, total fantasy points, and current results.
  • The leaderboard also shows total points so teams can compare season-long scoring.
10Playoffs
  • The commissioner chooses how many teams make the playoffs.
  • Playoff brackets seed automatically from the final regular-season standings.
  • The best record earns the top seed; if records are tied, the team with more points for gets the higher seed.
  • Later playoff rounds are filled automatically from prior-round winners, while eliminated teams continue through consolation placement paths.
  • Teams below the playoff cut begin against neighboring regular-season seeds so every team can move up or down through postseason results.
  • The final week includes the championship plus 3rd, 5th, 7th, and every other available placement game.
  • Playoff matchup ties break by captain points when enabled, then starter points, unused bench points, and finally the better regular-season seed.
11Commissioner Controls
  • Commissioners can generate and edit league schedules.
  • Playoff seeding and weekly result processing happen automatically after final tournament scores are ready.
  • Commissioners can update league rules, lineup structure, and game modes before the season starts.
  • Weekly results finalize automatically as soon as posted FedExCup points are detected.
