How to Play Clubhouse Heroes

Build tournament rosters, manage starters round by round, and compete across the entire PGA season.

Clubhouse Heroes beginner guide

The Weekly Rhythm

Field. Roster. Rounds. Results.

Clubhouse Heroes follows the PGA tournament calendar. Build one roster for the event, manage who starts each round, and carry those decisions into weekly, segment, and season competition.

The deadline that matters most: tournament rosters lock five minutes before the first Round 1 tee time.

First Tournament

Your first week, step by step

Follow in order
  1. 1

    Create your team identity

Choose a username, team name, and team logo. Your identity follows you across private leagues and the Clubhouse Heroes Global competition.

  2. 2

    Choose where to compete

Create a private league, join one with an invitation, or enter the Global competition as a solo manager. Private league settings are chosen by the commissioner.

  3. 3

    Wait for the official field

The Field tab fills with the official tournament player pool. Use tee times, player profiles, and the Stats tab to compare golfers before making selections.

  4. 4

    Build the tournament roster

Select the required starters and bench golfers. Choose a captain when enabled, then order the bench by the replacement priority you trust most.

  5. 5

    Submit before roster lock

You can edit and resubmit until five minutes before the first Round 1 tee time. If no legal roster is submitted, the app creates a random legal roster for that week.

  6. 6

    Manage each round

Your tournament roster stays fixed, but you can arrange starters and bench golfers for each round until those golfers tee off. A golfer who has started is locked for that round.

  7. 7

    Follow the result

Track live fantasy points in Scores, league results in MyLeague, and your final decisions in the weekly recap. Results finalize after official tournament data is complete.

Roster Language

Know these six terms

Before you submit
Tournament roster
Every golfer selected for the event. This group cannot change after roster lock.
Starter
A golfer whose fantasy points count for the current round.
Bench priority
The order Clubhouse Heroes uses when an eligible automatic replacement is needed.
Captain
An enabled starter whose score receives the league's captain multiplier. The choice locks when that golfer tees off in Round 1.
Golfer start
One use against the league's segment limit when that golfer starts or is auto-swapped into a starting spot.
Lineup lock
The deadline that freezes the event roster. Round choices then lock golfer by golfer at their tee times.

Competition

How your score matters

League settings may vary

Weekly pool

Every team is ranked by fantasy points for the tournament. The highest total wins the week.

Head-to-head

Your team faces a scheduled opponent. The higher weekly fantasy total earns the matchup result.

Segments and season

Weekly points and results build toward segment standings, season standings, and playoffs when enabled.

Clubhouse Heroes Global

Solo entries compete across the same tournament calendar without needing to join a private league.

Your commissioner chooses formats, roster size, captain use, playoffs, and golfer-use limits before the season begins.

Built In

What Clubhouse Heroes handles

Automatically
  • Publishes the official field and tee-time information when it becomes available.
  • Creates a random legal roster at lock when a manager has not submitted one.
  • Uses bench priority for eligible withdrawals, disqualifications, and post-cut replacements.
  • Calculates live fantasy scoring and records the decisions that counted each round.
  • Finalizes weekly results, standings movement, and recaps after official tournament data is ready.

Quick Answers

Common first-week questions

Tap to expand
Can I change a submitted roster?+

Yes. Submission is not the final lock. You may edit and resubmit as often as needed until the tournament roster deadline.

Can I add a new golfer after the tournament begins?+

No. The event roster is fixed at roster lock. Round management only rearranges eligible golfers already on that roster.

Why can I change some golfers during a round but not others?+

Round choices lock golfer by golfer. A player who has not teed off can still move; a player already on the course is locked for that round.

What happens if I forget to submit?+

Clubhouse Heroes submits a random legal roster from the published field while respecting roster rules and golfer-use limits. It is marked Randomized.

When can I see another team's lineup?+

Submitted rosters remain private until tournament roster lock, preventing managers from copying selections before the deadline.

Why did a bench golfer enter my lineup?+

An auto-swap may occur after an eligible withdrawal, disqualification, or missed cut. Bench 1 is considered before Bench 2.

When are weekly standings final?+

Live totals can change. Weekly results finalize after official scoring and posted FedExCup points are available.
