Stock up
Wyndham Clark produced the clearest rise. Rounds of 64, 64, 65, and 70 gave him a 17-under total and a three-stroke victory over Patrick Cantlay. Clark scored 193 Clubhouse Heroes fantasy points, including 75 from FedExCup points, and moved to third in the season standings. It was his third victory of 2026 and sixth PGA TOUR title.
Cantlay also leaves Bellerive with a materially stronger outlook. His 14-under runner-up finish generated 144 fantasy points and carried him into the TOUR Championship at No. 19 in the FedExCup after he entered the BMW outside the top 30. The result was not built on one isolated round: Cantlay posted 67, 65, 66, and 68.
Gary Woodland completed another meaningful climb. He arrived at the BMW ranked 31st in the FedExCup, tied for fourth at 12 under, scored 125 fantasy points, and qualified for East Lake at No. 18. His season statistics are not as polished as the favorites, but recent tournament scoring now demands consideration in a guaranteed-four-round field.
Collin Morikawa
Morikawa tied for fourth and scored 105 fantasy points. More importantly, the result aligns with his season profile: a 68.98 scoring average, 70.6 percent greens in regulation, and 4.62 birdies per round. That makes the BMW finish confirmation of a broader trend rather than a single hot week.
Chris Gotterup
Gotterup shared fourth at 12 under and scored 122 fantasy points. He enters East Lake sixth in the FedExCup after a three-win season. His driving accuracy remains less stable than the precision-first options, but the combination of current form and winning ceiling keeps his stock positive.
Holding steady
Rory McIlroy finished third at 13 under and scored 138 fantasy points. That is a strong result, but it does not radically change his profile: elite birdie potential, less driving accuracy than the most controlled options, and enough high-end scoring to remain a captain alternative. He enters East Lake 11th in the FedExCup.
Scottie Scheffler tied for 12th at seven under after opening with a two-over 72. His stock should not fall sharply because the recovery rounds of 65, 68, and 68 fit the season-long numbers. Scheffler still leads the FedExCup, owns the field's best scoring average in Clubhouse Heroes data, and has averaged nearly five birdies per statistical round.
Matt Fitzpatrick also remains steady despite finishing tied for 30th at Bellerive. A single quiet playoff week does not erase a two-win season, the No. 2 FedExCup position, or one of the field's best balanced accuracy-and-approach profiles.
Stock down for one week, not written off
Tommy Fleetwood finished tied for 47th at two over and scored 58 fantasy points at the BMW Championship. That is a clear short-term downgrade, especially compared with the top of the board. It is not a reason to ignore him at East Lake. Fleetwood is ninth in the FedExCup and returns as the defending TOUR Championship winner after shooting 18 under in 2025.
Cameron Young tied for 37th at one under and scored 66 fantasy points. The result was disappointing for a player entering the finale fourth in the FedExCup, but his two-win season and 4.15 birdies per round preserve upside in the no-cut format. Young is better treated as a rebound candidate than an automatic fade.
Viktor Hovland tied for 33rd at two under and enters East Lake 26th in the standings. His BMW rounds ranged from 63 to 72, illustrating both the ceiling and volatility. That makes him more attractive as a complementary piece than as the foundation of a captain build.
What the movement means for fantasy lineups
The biggest mistake would be sorting the TOUR Championship roster entirely by BMW finish. Clark, Cantlay, Woodland, Morikawa, and Gotterup earned upgrades because their results either match strong season data or represent a meaningful change in qualification and form. Scheffler and Fitzpatrick retain premium value because a larger sample still supports them.
